APRIL 2010 --
GM is recalling certain model
year 2006 through 2010 Hummer H3 vehicles. Some of these vehicles have a
condition in which the integral clip-tabs on the louver on the hood may
fracture, causing the hood louver rattle against the hood and become loose. If
this indicator is unnoticed, additional clips could fracture and the hood louver
could detach from the vehicle. If the vehicle is being driving when this occurs,
it could strike a following vehicle and cause injury and/or property damage.
Dealers will apply an adhesive to the hood louver to secure it to the hood. This
service will be performed free of charge. The safety recall campaign began on

GM recalls over 126,000 Hummer H3s
YAHOO NEWS --
May 5, 2010 – General Motors Co is recalling
about 126,130 Hummer H3 models to address
the risk that part of the hood could detach
from the vehicle while driving.
GM said in a
filing with the National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration that clips holding the
hood louver on some of the vehicles could
break, causing the part to break loose and
strike a vehicle behind the Hummer in
traffic.
The recall
covers 2006 through 2010 model year Hummer
H3 vehicles.
GM is
shutting down Hummer after failing to find a
buyer for the SUV brand.
